A live recording from 1972 upstairs at the Country House, Torquay Folk Club. Introduced by Martin Scragg the whole audience joined us in this rendition of the traditional song Bright Morning Stars as rewitten by Mike Heron of the Incredible String Band.
This wonderful song was written by Stan Ellison" from Manchester and Dave learnt it when they were both in the Manchester folk band Caliban in 1979/80 with Graham Burton (step-dad of Lamb's Lou Rhodes). Stan recorded with Lea Nicholson and apparently taught Anne Briggs how to play Blackwaterside on the guitar.
